Help with Broken fan (Dell)

My fan broke from my Dell computer

Here is the fan Click Here

Since $60.00 is really great!!!(sarcastically)......... can you tell me if I can get any other fan to replace it?

and if so, where can I get the same size fan? Thanks, and according to that website, the fan is 92x32. Is that a default size or propietary?

It's probably 92mm x 92mm x 32mm, which I think is pretty standard. Look for 92mm fans. IIRC, some will be 25mm deep though.

Still have a warranty? Call Dell. 😛

92mm fans are available from plenty of places. 80mm or 120mm is more standard, but 92s are not uncommon, so just check newegg.com or ncix.com if in canada.

I replaced a Dell fan by just taking off their end connector and putting in on a new 92mm fan. It was very easy and painless.

Some fans just use their connector and some are special fans built to their requirements. Only the user can find out what fan it is.

I saw a compaq with a 92x92 fan that died, I just replaced it with regular 92x92 with a thermal sensor and spliced the wires into one of the molex connectors, didnt trust the funky connector the original had.. There was no tach on the original so that was left coiled up. No probs after 6 months. YMMV
