Help with booting without my windows CD or a floppy boot disk

I recently got a blue screen of death, followed by the message that my windows will not boot properly because of a missing or corrupted system file.

I no longer have my windows 2000 disc, as I moved and lost many of my discs. And I don't have a floppy disk drive in my computer.

Is there any way I could download the files required and burn them to disc so that I can boot my computer again?

BootDisk might be a good place to start. There are others out there but this is the only one off the top of my head. The basic Windows 98 boot disk can get you to the command prompt. Hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks for the help, guys.

Problem solved a different way though.
My university offers a free copy of WinXP pro for computer science majors.
