Help with BOINC & Linux?

All is well. Apparently the problem with the download servers is fixed. 🙂

Apparently I'm not alone in the Rosetta@Home problems... LINK

Original Post...

Okay I created my account for Rosetta@Home and installed BOINC (boinc-client and boinc-manager) from the Ubuntu repositories. I launched the boinc-manager and was able to attach to Rosetta and get everything working on 2 Linux (Ubuntu) systems. I can see CPU usage and both systems have produced results. Now I've got 2 problems...

1. On my 1st system (Ubuntu Edgy) BOINC wasn't using CPU. I did a grep on boinc and here's the results:

robor007@RBelin-Ubuntu:~$ sudo ps -ef | grep boinc
boinc 27623 1 0 Mar26 ? 00:00:04 /usr/bin/boinc_client -redirectio -dir /var/lib/boinc-client
robor007 5933 1 0 09:15 ? 00:00:02 /usr/bin/boincmgr
robor007 6168 6034 0 09:23 pts/0 00:00:00 grep boinc

So BOINC is running and after looking at the BOINC manager GUI it looks like it's trying to download but timing out. I looked at the Rosetta@Home server status page and everything looks okay there

2. On my 2nd system (Ubuntu Feisty) I did an update and rebooted it. I don't know if it was working prior to the update but I know it wasn't working after rebooting. When I launched the BOINC manager the Rosetta@Home project wasn't listed and I can see in the lower right 'Connecting to localhost' - that fails with an error. When I tried to do a 'Tools | Attach to project' it says 'BOINC Manager is not currently connected to a BOINC client...' I don't know if the updating broke BOINC but it's not working now. I'm going to try a reinstall here.

Edit: The reinstall on the 2nd system worked. Both systems show the BOINC manager attached to the Rosetta@Home project but neither one is using CPU at the moment. Any ideas?
