Help with blocked web page at work! (Pretty please? :) )

Ok guys, I spend a lot of time at Harmony Central while I'm at work (the forums) since I can do my job with my eyes closed (Corporate Support). For some reason, the software we use to block adult pages, gambling, etc, has now started blocking "web chat". Obviously, this isn't the case, as I'm here, and every other forum under the sun. Just can't get to HC. SO... what can I do to get around this?

I doubt you can do anything..I don't think the protection is directly on your machine. If you're on an intranet, you're probably going through a main server that has a proxy setup.

do you have a buddy in the IS department? if not... get one...


I'm in our IS department and we were the ones who set up the proxy server blocking all the 'naughty sites' and sites not for business.
we also have another proxy that we use with nothing blocked for "testing" purpose. 😀

so, just ask that guy for another proxy address you can use.


IS people are above the IS restriction laws in every company.
