Help with Blackberries

Can a Blackberry stop working due to a cut line between town and the office ?
I am not a tech person, but I understand this device operates wirelessly and can be used virtually everywhere.

your blackberry would only stop working if your providers network goes down or if RIMS servers crash and when happens that usually only affects your data access such as corporate email etc.

Corporate BES could also be down.

So we have:-

- No Data service in the area (No GPRS/EDGE, etc)
- BES server at your office is down
- RIM's servers are down

Pretty much in order of likelihood.
