Help With Best Webcam Software

I just got the Kodak DVC325 (from the hot deals forum, good deal), but I dont like the software that comes with it. I was trying to find the best webcam software out there to capture to AVI, or MOV. Also, what software should I use to clean up the AVI's that I capture to reduce the file size of them?
