I am looking to add an AUX plug in our 2005 Toyota Sienna. I found this video and I think I am able to pull this off. I just need a little hand-holdng regarding the parts.

I believe I need a "harness" and the AUX plug/internal cable, but I do not know which ones to buy (I would not mind buying them from Amazon, if possible).

I will also pick up a "panel popper" as I would like to avoid scratching things.

What do you suggest?

Well that's certainty one way to do it and it looks like one of the easier installs for this. However at work we have 2 siennas, one is an 05 that I drive, the other I believe is an 07( might be a touch newer, forget) which is a very base model but it has an aux port by default and uses one of those black plugs in the right of the radio.

I don't know if your looking for something like that blitz you linked or just something that would tie in, but personally I would be looking into seeing how Toyota does it and implementing it as such for ease and clean install.

The AUX input was not even an option on the 2005 Sienna. It became standard on the 2006.

That being said, I am just looking for a little help on picking the right parts for this mod. If I am going o have to figure out a way to distract my wife for a couple hours so she does not scream at me for tearing apart her car, I want to get it right ;)

either buy a new radio or use an fm transmitter. even if you get aux in on a stock radio, its still a stock radio and its not going to sound much better then an FM broadcast anyway.

i know fm transmitters are poor out of the box, but you can amplify them to run hassle free.
