Okey got this very annoying issue with my new Audigy Platinum. Basically I want to use the mic/headphones plugs on the front in game. This is all fine and dandy, BUT when I select the mixer and change the record source to mic 2/line 2 (the front port) and then run Half-Life, no beans. I have to alt tab back to the mixer change the record source from the primary mic to the mic 2 after starting Half-Life EVERY time. If works in game without any issues after I do this, hence it is not driver related.
Basically, every time I start Half-Life or the Half-Life voice configuration utility it reverts the record source back to microphone and I need it to stay as mic 2. Does anyone know how to do this? I think its a windows setting. BTW the creative people are dumb as hell, they told me to reinstall the play center....
