First off, here's the basics of my rig:

Enermax 535watt psu (EG565P-VE FMA)
ATI 1800xl videocard
Abit An8 Ultra
2x512MB OCZ PC3200 Gold 2-2-2-5

I know this has probably been asked a billion times; but I can't find a solid easy to understand overclocking 'process' to get things going. This is my first AMD64 system, so the whole HT speed and multiplier, memory timings etc. with regards to proper settings and what I should be messing with first etc. isn't as straight forward as it used to be :p CPU multiplier, change your ram timing... bump voltage if need be.

Secondly, I know not all chips are equal... but with this setup what do you think a realistic O/C goal to shoot for would be?

... oh yeah, on another note... has anyone tried the overclock utility in the 5.11 catalyst drivers? I can't even bump it up by 1mhz on the core or memory without getting a lock up... I would guess something is wrong, but I'm not really up for rolling back driver rev. ... pretty sure I saw when I googled someone else had the same prob with the 5.11's

Anyhow, any bit of help would be appreciated! Thanks guys

Ditto on the OC guides....there is tons of information already written on the subject. They were very helpful to me.
