Help with ATA 100 driver on the gygabyte GA7DX please...

hey all,

im trying to help my friend with his new computer, we are trying to load the promise ata100 driver. the manuel says the os (winME) should find and load it itsself. winme is not detecting it...any ideas? it i cant find the driver on the motherboard driver disk either..where can i find the driver?

If you just need the driver it can be found on www.promise.com

Check so there isn't a separate disc for the controller, the mobo one might just contain chipset drivers.
