HELP!! With ASUS P5A

I have upgraded two PC's with the above including on-board sound. After upgrading I found the on-board sound to be unsatisfactory and have installed sound cards and attempted to disable the on-board sound. The ASUS manual shows three sets of three pins to enable\disable the on-board sound. The boards I received only have one set of three pins - with spots of solder where the other two sets should be. Does anyone know how to disable the on-board sound. I have posted to the ASUS forum and have had no reply. Please HELP! Thanks.

Still fighting with it?
You must have heard by now that you need all nine pins to disable it and you must have an early revision........However....You could get creative with a soldering iron and solder posts to the solder pads but this would NOT be easy and I wouldn't recommend it.
It's also possible that the pads aren't electrically hooked up elsewhere on the board, or lack additional circuitry.

If it's an expendable board then experiment!

Thanks. One would think that because these boards were bought in 3/200 they would be current versions. One would think. . .
