Help with Asus A7V133 problem?

I helped a co-worker find a used local computer cheaply. It was an A7V133, 850Mhz Duron, 256MB and TNT2 video card. This is for a relative's kid in college. They picked it up and not a week later Windows wont' load. When I got it the blue screen error I get, before Windows could load, said it couldn't load a viaagp.sys file. I went ahead and formatted to reinstall Win2k, now the problem is when Windows is initially detecting hardware it says hardware failure, contact vendor right when it's detecting the video card (but my screen didn't flicker.) I swapped in a known-working TNT2 and I get the same problem. I've also stripped it down to just the processor, RAM and video card. I have not tried swapping another stick of RAM. Does this mean the AGP slot is defective? Any chances Asus will RMA a replacement?

Looks like your memory is defective or their settings are not correct, try setting the BIOS to CAS 3, no bank interleve, run everything on default (bus at 100Mhz). try some DOS memory checking program, make sure temp is below 60C. Also, try changing the processor for another, it could be a defective chip also.
I had a defective DURON 600 that fails when temp raices above 40C.
