I just finished installing the mb and everything works great except for one thing...I can hear what I can only describe as "interference" from my computer through my headphones. This interference is not that faint...it's loud enough to drive me nuts and make me take the headphones off. Anytime; the mouse moves, the hd reads, I press a key on the keyboard, a corresponding "bbzzzzzz" accompanies it. This noise starts the very second I turn the comp on so I dont think it's a driver issue. I went through all the sound options and muted everything and the sound is still present. I'm pretty good with configing comp's so not being able to resolve this is driving me nuts! BTW the audio cord to the line out is positioned properly and the headphones have always worked fine. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!! I figured I would post this here since soo many of you guys are so well informed when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I just put up a system with the same asus board, and the soundstorm is actually working great here! you will have to be sure that you are not using the analog audio cable from your cd'rom/dvd. If you have plugged that in, mute that channel in the options.

And... is it just through the headphones... speakers work fine??? I'd try diff headphones...
I have a similar issue but through the speakers, but on only rare occasions...
You try those new drivers yet?
