Hi all,

I hope I can get some help here

I just upgrade my system to a Asrock 775DUAL PT880Pro and a Intel E6400.

I have 2 x 1GB DDR400 memory sticks, but the motherboard originally identified them as 2 x 512MB DDR, so i manually set the DRAM frequency.

Now they are recognised as 2 x 512MB DDR400. Is there anyway I can force the BIOS to recognise them as 1GB sticks so i can get my 2 GB of RAM?

Any help welcome.

Cheers

Sounds as though you might have modules built using 128Mx4 DRAM. I thought any VIA chipset this modern *should* support 1GB per rank, but its an ASUS company and ASUS habitually does not support 128Mx4, so even if the chipset could support modules with 128Mx4 DRAM, the BIOS might not.
