I am looking for a "Field Recorder" so to speak which can take high capacity CF or SD cards and records in MP3 format. I have been looking at the M-Audio microtrack but I dont like the fact that I cant drop in batteries after finishing a set (I have 30 Energizer AA 2500mAH Batteries and a quick charger). My recordings will all be voice-only (No Instruments whatsoever) so a very high quality recorder is out of the question, I have tried Sony MZ-RH10 Hi-MD recorder and liked it up until I had to transfer all the recordings where in I lost close to 80 hours of recordings. My budget is about $600-700 (I have an 8GB microdrive and 2x 4GB SD cards already. THe recorder needs to be built good since I plan to use it for the next 4-5 years (until something better comes out maybe :D). So you can give me some pointers here and point in the direction of a good Audio forum. Thanks
