Help with Airplay and home network setup

I dont think my network setup is that complicated, but for the life of me I cant get Airplay to work. I'd like to be able to use Airplay through both iTunes on my PC and from my iphone/ipad connected to WiFi. Here's how I have things connected.

AT&T Uverse Router --> ASUS RT66W Wireless Router --> TPLink Wall Outlet --> TPLink Wall Outlet (separate room) --> Denon 4520CI AVI --> PS4

My desktop PC is also connected to the RT66W Router with ethernet cable.

I'ts worked intermittently in the past but only for a few minutes at a time. I unplugged everything this morning and reset all the connections, and it worked from my iphone to the AVR for a few minutes and then stopped. After it stopped working, there was no network connectivity for the AVR at all...even though when I plugged my laptop into the same TPLink outlet, my laptop had wired internet access. I would get an airplay icon in iTunes on my desktop for a while but it would never actually connect to the AVR.

I tried connecting the first TPLink outlet and desktop directly to AT&T Uverse router instead of the ASUS router but no luck.

Its setup now as described initially and everything works...AVR and PS4 both make wired connections with great speed, but no Airplay icons on iphone/ipad/desktop.

Help?

Does the router logs show any information (either one)?
Which router controls DHCP (or are you using static)?
I assume all devices are using one subnet?
