Im adding a second Hdd to my comp and ive never done this before...

Just stick it in, start up windows, right click on the drive and just hit format?

it asks me file system type: i put NTFS
and then it asks allocation unit size: and the options are "default, 4096 bytes, 2048 bytes, 1024 bytes... so on"

am i doing this right, and what size do i select? cause 4096 bytes is pewny my drive is 40 gigs

yeah, you want to use NTFS, just use the default allocation unit size. the allocation size isn't the size of your hard drive, it's basicly the smallest size allocated to a single file. Unless you are gonna just have a whole lot of large files, there is no real reason to use anything but the default.
