Help with Adaptec Raid card and setup

My friend has a P4B Asus and is trying to use an Adaptec 1200A UDMA RAID card. Plug it in and everything seems to work fine until we finish loading server 2k on it. Then it gives us the following message "Winkowd 2k could not start beacasue the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows 200 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe" We tried flashing the bios, we tested the drives, (both hold their own installion of serever2k by themselves). It is from an actual Microsoft CD, and the cd-rom works fine too... Can anyone help?
