Help with Abit nf7-s v2.0

Hi,
I am trying to figure out if my mobo is dead. When I put it in the case with everything installed without any optical drives. The cpu fan and psu fan spin then shut off after about 5-10sec??????? Then I put that in a diff. case. The fans spin and stay on without the video card. So I though it might be the video card. I put in a diff. card====the fans spin and shut off after about 5-10sec again????????????????Resetting bios, take out cmos battery still doesn't help????????????Help, help, help

Had the same problem with my board. Found out the board was shorting (earthing) on the standoff's. Remove the board from the case put masking tape on all the standoff's and refit the board. Hope this helps.

finally found out that the pci slot i had the video card in was short. Put it in a different slot and everything working again. thanks gsvhammer
