I have an A7n8x 1.04... sorry, no 2.0 here. and i want to over clock my new barton +2500. is there any way i can get 200fsb? it seems that all i can do is set my multiplier at 12.5 x 166mhz. and get 2080 mhz. I run this at default voltage and many people who have the same batch can easily do 2200mhz. I've installed the 1004 uber bios, and such, but my mhz increments are still only 133, 166, 200.

Could someone possibly point me in the right direction or even an Asus a7n8x forum somewhere? Thanks for any help.

i cant rememebr atm exactly but in one of the option theres "user defined" or something, choose that and then you'll be able to choose from a range of freq including all of the ones in between...the option is near the top, CPU something..?

also, try if 200 doesnt work to go to 198 or 199 and then see
sometimes spread spectrum turns on (i dunno with that bios) at 200mhz and screws up your oc attempt

and make sure to raise vcore some
maybe vdimm
and lock agp to 66mhz

Much thanks for the help. Did EXACTLY as you said.. upped ram voltages and such. and found the user define menu, now running solid at 188mhz fsb x 12. for a 2256 mhz. woohoo. 1.75 volts on the cpu though. couldn't make 1.7 stable.

but i'm quite happy now.
