setup is in signature so i'll get to the point

My computer has been running fine for over 1 year until a few weeks ago, it randomly crashed while gaming. I reboot, played for a few minutes, crashed again. Usually my cpu temp. stays around 35C on load (been so for 1 year), but after those 2 crashes it stays average 53C on idle. Also after a reformat , windows and programs seem to load slower than regular. any suggestions?

Have you checked to see if the fan is turning on your hsf? You may want to remove the hsf clean it up and reapply some type of thermal paste.

that temp isn't bad per se, but that spike in idle temp leads me to believe something may be amiss with your cooling, power or both. crack open the case and inspect for any obvious visual irregularities... good luck

Take some compressed air and get rid of the dust. Again like meltdown75 says.. a sudden jump like that without any other reason for it should be investigated promptly. Maybe your HSF has come off the CPU? Maybe the fan has failed on the CPU?

i've already reapplied some as5 after that has happened and dusted off the heatsink, same results, the fan still spins normally, but just faster (says bios). no noises and signs of bad bearings, so i'm still lost at whats the problem.
