I'm running XP pro and I have a Refurbed sappire 8500le from newegg that refuses all drivers I've tried to run. Cat 3.8, 3.7, and even 2.5 and 2.4. And have had no luck finding the referance drivers on the net. Ive updated the chipset drivers for my EPOX 8kra2+ to the hyperions (when I first installed XP) Over at saphires fourm others have had the same problem as me Thread. In device manager It shows a 8500 series adapter, but if you go to adapter properties from the desktop it shows VgaSave as the card and has no properties. When I try to run CoD demo i get an error saying "Could not load openGL. Make sure you have the latest graphics driver for you card." and other games just crash or don't load and hang.

The computer works with a Rad7500 and 9800 (flaking out, see my other thread), so Im left relly baffled. Help guys, I might have to call sapphire, ahhhhh!

guys, where are yah??

oh, i forgot to mention, in hardware it says that its on the pci bus. Hopin' for some help!

I would send it back, but I think Ive had it more that 30 days, so newegg won't take it 🙁
Im going to rey it in my 2000 machine and see what happens, then, Im going to eat a burrito, I'm hungry!

I have the same refurb card from newegg and I am having the same problem.
I tried the card in 2 different computer fresh install of winXP.
I am trying to flash the bios but it willnot go.

While I was reading your post I thought I had gotten your old card😀
