help with a virus issue

working on my father in laws rig and it has a vireus ..... tried AVG and Panda and it detects the virus put then the system halts .... asy help would be appreciated..

thats the problem ... it says virus detected and hangs without any discription .... the folder is SBCyahoo ... he has DSL .... ran spybot before running the anti-virus and it detected 216 entries ( I know...he is old ) .... did search on the web to any viruses that behave like this and so far no luck
