not alot to go on. its usually on rock stations.
also any input on good rock songs?

Hmm, I think one of the Breaking Benjamin songs might fit that description. Trying to think of which one though.

I don't think it's Breaking Benjamin- I've listened to the CD and it doesn't ring a bell.. maybe I'm wrong though.

Though there is a BB song called Away, have you checked it out? Doesn't really fit your description though..

They have 2 CDs, so it might've been one of their earlier songs (or later, dependiong on which CD you were talking about).

Thats the song that came to mind when I first read the OP's lyric. I just couldnt think of the artist/title myself.
