Ok, I am having some trouble. I have my layout sliced up from photoshop in dreamweaver. My content box is setup to expand with the table inside the table "method." It works fine, but when it expands, the formatting of the rest of the page gets messed up. Also, it only lets me add text in the middle of the box even when I set it as left and top.

Here is a link of everything fine:

Here is it messed up:

Any help is MUCH appreciated. And is it also possible to have the border lines on the outside of the whole page, along with th vertical line between the left nav and the content box to expand with the content box?

I think the problem might have something to do with the spacers at the bottom?

ok, I think it is the cell padding that is screwing up the text. since it is set at 175 to make the content box big enough when theres nothing in it, something is getting messed up. Very strange, don't know why it's happening. Not sure how to fix this :/ Does cell padding have anything to do with text placement? This is the first time I have used it and assumed it was just how many times to have the image in the row automatically. I guess I could just lower it.

REGARDLESS, this is still the lesser of my problems. I still don't know how to get it to expand without messing everything up

I actually don't know why the hell the spacers are at the bottom of the page like that. very strange. I'll try reslicing the layout...

not really sure what you are saying. doesn't it just tell how many of the image to display? like cell padding of 10 would have the 1px slice 10 times to make the box appear bigger? anyway, how can I fix it so the text can be put where I want it?

also, what about my bigger problem :/ i've basically given up for the time being since I don't know what to do

edit: actually, I'll just get rid of the padding. I'll never have the box empty so it won't matter how it would look empty.
