help with a permissions issue

Here is my problem:

A user where I work is using a laptop with win 2k pro.He has numerous powerpoint presentations.
He stores everything in the My Documents folder while logged onto the network, therefore this is
his network profile.Up until this point everything opens and works as it should. He then logs off and
logs on locally, like when he is at home. When he tries to open his pp files in the MY Documents folder
he gets an error message "PowerPoint can't open c:\Documents and Settings\userx\My Documents\
Folderx\slides because part of the file is missing."If I log on locally as administrator I can open the files
no problem.

Here is what I tried:

I shared his network profile out to his local profile and assigned his local profile administrative rights.
I don't like to share anything out but I had to try something. It did not work, same error message.

Can anyone give some input on what to do?

Thanks a lot, Zip

reformat 😉
actually, this is the wrong forum - you'll get more (hopefully better!) answers in operating systems or software

Local and Global accounts have different SIDs. Delete the Local account and use the cached Global account.

Those are different accounts, add his network account to his local account group, preferably admin group. than check NTFS permitions add him. that's if you got permitions problem, but you got "file missing". make sure you're looking in correct profile.
