Just set this little system up for a friend and everything went very smooth during windows install...rebooted several times while installing various drivers and then after i installed dx9 and rebooted i get no post with one very long beep and it just keeps repeating. what's that mean?

other parts:
2x256 geil pc3200
gf4 mx440
2.4c
onboard everything else

nothing is overclocked and running nice and cool b4 this happened about 34c idle.

nothing on abits site about beep codes and well the other info in the net about beep codes was inconclusive for me.

im thinking its ram...i took the ram out and get the same beep code. going to try them in my system and see if its the modules or the memory controller on the board that took a dump.

Did no one read the post? He said this is after installing DX9. Resest CMOS, maybe format and try to install again :/

holy crap...i was ready to rma the board since i tested everything else then i thought wth, and took the cmos battery out and let it sit for a few minutes and it worked...now i would have thought the several times i reset cmos would have done the same thing but i guess not.

thanks for the ideas guys.
