Help with a Logitech Quickcam Express

I just got this unit as a referb from newegg.com, so I don't expect it to work flawlessly. that being said, I am having problems with it. 🙂 sometimes it records and show video at a constant 30fps, other times it only goes at like 1 fps or even less than 1 fps. I am not sure why this is happening. My computer is not really being taxed as I am normally only ever listenting to mp3's or something like that when playing with the camera. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is? thanks

well, perhaps because it's the cheapest webcam made by logitech?


hehe, but seriously, i gave this things out at xmas gifts 2 years ago, so i've worked with them

my only suggestion off the top of my head would be to check out logitech's page and make sure you're running the newest drivers...have you done this?

edit: you might also want to try a third party video capture program such as virtualdub (freeware)
