Help with a job

I have an AS degree in pc specialtist... and plan to move to VA sometime (not soon). I don't know if I should stay in this field (Network tech/PC repair), or maybe do something else. Something else would be Accounting or Xray Technician.

What is your experience in these three fields?

There is no job market in PC/IT now unless you have a lot of experience and/or very specialized skill set. Go with the accounting or xray technician. Don't believe me? Check the sticky thread at the top of Off topic - the one that is hundreds of posts long for people unemployed, most of whom are looking for work in the computer industry.

Depressing... I wasted 2+ yrs... I love fixing computers..... but your right.

I can go to a tech school that offers accounting and xray tech, for free (I'm American Indian)..

What skoorb said, do something else such as accounting or xray technician..or even nuclear medical technician.

Go with X-ray technician, or even a career in nursing. Male nurses are in high demand.

Well my dad is an accountant among other things. He got laid off a couple years ago and is working on his CPA cert. From his research a lot of ppl are not going into accounting. So there is money to be made apparently according to the recruiters he talked to when trying to scout the job market. Like 50k after a four-year degree.

You know, the key to success in life is to become someone unique, not like the rest, only then you can grab some major cash. You could start your own business, for example.

From his research a lot of ppl are not going into accounting.

That's for a reason, the job is too difficult and stressful. Don't go into it! It's a horrible experience.
