Hello,

I recently ordered an IBM T41 from the IBM phone sales rep. The price has dropped since my order and I have contacted the sales rep by email and phone to adjust the price prior to shipping, but they have not responded. My other concern is the memory modules they are selling with the machine. Here is a copy of the order:

The T41 should use PC2700 memory but the memory modules they are selling with the machine are from a T30 and an A31? I also asked in my email if these memory sticks would be the faster memory.

Any suggestions on how to proceed from here?

Thanks

If they won't change the price for you, just cancel and reorder. You have to wait a long time for shipping either way, so you might as well get the cheaper price.

I ordered my t40 with 128 mb of ram. In my invoice it showed two 128 sticks from an A series and an earlier T series. However, I only got 128 mb of the correct ram.

A follow up. I finally got a call back from IBM. They adjusted the price, however, as of today they stated that IBM does not offer notebook memory faster than pc 2100. The have part listed as pc2700 but it is actually pc2100. If you look closely at the T41 memory specs its merely states that it supports DDR 333 ram, not that it has it. The two chips sold me are pc2100.
