Just checking for compatibility and to see if there are any easy changes to the build. I'm looking to buy it tomorrow probably so any help would be great. Thanks!

I'm pretty near my max budget but slight price changes for significant performance suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for the public link... it's been a while since I've had to link one :O

The use is general: internet, some moderate gaming, movie + music use, and likely considerable multitasking of some combination of those.

I'm fairly biased against nvidia due to past experience; I also haven't been quite up to date on cards released within the past year. If people generally go for the gts I might consider giving them another chance.

You can save some $ if you go for 1TB Samsung F3. Similar performance to WD.

Newegg its for $79.99
ewiz its for $63.75 using promo code grad15 with free shipping.

Use the saved $ for a 5750 for $129

For your budget, I would probably go with AMD.

Mobo: ASUS M4A77TD $85
CPU: Phenom II X4 965 $180
HDD: Samsung F3 1TB $80
GPU: Radeon 5770 $155

Similar performing CPU, much better GPU and $5 more (or $10 less if you go with yasasvy's deal on the HDD.

EDIT: Another possible change would be to drop down to the Athlon II X4 635 and using the savings to get a 23"-24" monitor.

Hmmm that seems like a decent setup. The ram would be compatible I assume?

Yeah, they are both DDR3. You might want to change to this G.Skill though. Same modules with different heatspreaders. The Ripjaws heatspreaders are fairly tall and can conflict with some aftermarket coolers if you plan to OC down the road.
