So my system is running NF4 Raid and my pair of 7900GTs. Unfortunately i dont think i can activate SLI because NView is disabled and i dont know how to do it though vista manually.

This isnt the problem however, i am running a dual monitor setup, where my 20inch LCD is set on SLI and a 20.1WS was set on my ATI 9250. (a little trick to get SLI and dualscreen incase you dont know)

VISTA cant load up my 9250 drivers. I think its because there is no 9250 that is DX9 compatitable. So here is the problem, anyhow know of a way to make it work? and if its not at all possible, then anyone know of a DX9 PCI card that i can use made by ATI? for obvious reasons i cant use NVIDIA because when u set SLI it disables all outputs on all NVIDIA cards!!!

*RAWR*

Fustrated!!

BTW see sig for hardware, and im using RC-1 5600Build Vista

Wow no one knows of a solution to this? Im sure people have 9200 series video cards and older :[

Well bump for tonight in hopes to find a resolution tomorrow, otherwise i guess my sli system becomes a single dual card solution till ATI releases drivers for vista on the 9200 series.

*Dayam ATI, why are they always so rediculously slow in driver updates*

i know but someone who uses SLI or Xfire require a second PCI video card to run dual displays.

And i just found out though trial and ERROR, If ur running NVIDIA SLI and u try to use a PCI-E 1x ATI X1300, The SLI will disable all videocards on the PCI-E regardless of make.

*just reciently found out that ati makes a x1300 pci. Will this support aero? *

Download the 9250 driver from Ati (Catalyst 6.5 WindowsXP):
http://support.ati.com/ics/support/defa...ID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=22264

Extract the file by running it and navigating to C:\ATI

Change the .INF file located in subfolder DRIVER\2KXP_INF:
Remark the first mentioning of

"RADEON 9250" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5960&SUBSYS_01401569
"RADEON 9250 Secondary" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5940&SUBSYS_01411569

by putting a semicolon in front of it, like:

;"RADEON 9250" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5960&SUBSYS_01401569
;"RADEON 9250 Secondary" = ati2mtag_RV280, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5940&SUBSYS_01411569

Then change the driver in your device manager to Standard VGA adapter

Then, after restarting change the Standard VGA adapter driver, browse for drivers when prompted and navigate to the mentioned folder above (DRIVER\2KXP_INF)

Install the driver from here and it should work better.
