Hey wussup guys
I got a problem and I wanted to throw it into form box and see what solutions I can get.
I got a 8600gt evga gfx card and a TF7025-M2 5.1 biostar board. OK my system was working fine. Until one day I turned on the pc and the system won't boot to video. The monitor says no input. It will boot on the onboard 7025 gpu. But not the 8600gt. If i got the 8600gt in the system and monitor hooked up to the onboard it takes like 2 mins to boot finally onboard, but if I remove the 8600gt the onboard turns on right away. I tested the 8600gt in another pc I got and it ran fine. I then though wat if the power is not enough because I have a nsk1300 antec case and it has a I think 300watt antec psu. So I got a antec 380 earthwatt psu and plugged that into the motherboard with the 8600gt and it did not work. And I used that same 380 earthwatt psu in the other pc that I tested the 8600gt So i know it can handle it. Its weird. Nothing is wrong with the motherboard it's just not booting on the pci express port it seems like. And thats weird too b/c it was working fine before! The pc runs fine with onboard as I am using the same pc right now to type this topic.
My specs are
athlon64 le1600 - (i think)
biostar TF7025-M2 5.1
1 gb patriot 6400pc2
seagate 160gb
no cd
nsk1300 aria case with 300watts psu
thanks I hope you guys can help
p.s. I also tried the bios to change the boot method from onboard and pci express and that did not help either!
