Insignia 26" 1080p LCD TV Model: NS-26L450A11

Hey guys I just purchased this tv today to use as a tv/PC monitor, but Im having problems getting it to run in 1080p over HDMI. I have it hooked up to an HD5770. In the Catalyst Contol Center it states that its 1920 x 1080 rez and max of 75hz, but it will only let me run 720p. I've tried forcing the HDTV profile at 1080p to no avail.

I'd really like to keep this display as its a really great looking screen, has plenty of inputs and just the right size for my needs. I just cant use it at 720p I need the higher rez.

Please help, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Well I tried to reinstall the video driver and I noticed that when the PC boots to cmos the input registers 1080p, but as soon as the graphics driver loads it switches back to 1080i.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Ok I think I fixed it, for all those having similar problems I unplugged the HDMI from the HDMI port on the graphics card and ran it through and DVI - HDMI adapter. I havent the foggiest idea why I had to do this other than possibly the HDMI port is faulty on my graphics card.

At any rate its working and I'm glad I purchased this TV.

Glad you got it sorted to a workable state. That's an odd issue. You can fuss around in CCC more if you really need the audio from HDMI, you've been in there but maybe something subtle would get it working over HDMI. I believe there is a force TV detection option.

I just got a 460 so I don't have CCC to check the options from this comp.
