Help with 19" OMAX monitor? Sharpness problems.

I got 2 of the OMAX Proview 19" monitors. I've got them setup in a Matrox G400 dualhead. At anything above 800 x 600 there is a big sharpness difference between the two monitors. It's not the video card. Any ideas? Are there any adjustments I can make to equalize the sharpness of the two, or should I just return the bad one. I'm bummed because they were a great deal, 260 for 2, and I probably can't replace the bad one for less than $300. Please help!
 
What's the dot pitch on the monitor. I notice a big decrease in sharpness when dots are more than .26. Also, most monitors have a sharpness adjustment. Try that first.
 
The RAMDAC of the secondary monitor's output is not as good as the primary one's. Therefore, try swapping the outputs for the 2 monitors to see if the same one is having the blurry problem.
 
it is the same monitor that is having the problem. , and it is actually the second monitor that is sharp. And there does not appear to be a sharpness control, at least not on the OSD. Any other ideas.
 
It's frustrating that I can't get the same sharpness on both. Should I return the bad one? But then I may have trouble running different monitors on the dualhead setup.
 
I have 2 different monitors on my G450 and I have no problems running them. The only problem is that one of them is perfectly flat and the other one is slightly curved. But I got used to it so it's not really a problem. And with the newest drivers from Matrox, you can set different resolutions for the 2 monitors if you're running Win2K.

I would say return the one with the defect or try calling the manufacturer directly and see if they would replace it since you mentioned how you got them under a great deal...
 
With practically any monitor the sharpness will improve if you turn down the brightness. Set the brightness as low as you can stand and the image quality and life of the monitor will both improve.
