I assume i can do this but i have not tried it.

ok i have a server running win2k server as my router: cable modem to 1 eth and gateway eth to my switch to 5 clients

ok i would like to get 2 wirelesses on my network - is there a problem just putting a wireless card in my server/router (3 IP's total, 2x non routs and 1 internet) and somehow run the server as an access point....never setting up a wireless netowork i do not know exactily if this would work but it seems like it should be possible - the wireless clients need to have server and internet

sounds like i confused myself - who knows at all what im talking about :)

Why dont u just buiy a wireless router (most have wired LAN ports as well. That way u can get rid of the 2k server acting as your gateway which is a real crappy option by the way. This way u get everything u need, with a tiny bit of extra security instead of running a 2k box open on the net.

As long as ICS can work with multiple NIC's (not sure about that. I agree with spending the money on a AP/Router combo) then it would work. It wouldn't be an Access Point however. It would just be a wireless NIC that the other radio NIC's go through to get their internet. They would still interact Ad Hoc when transferring data.
