HELP!!! WinXP task manager fails to work!

Anyone can help me with this question:

After I installed some program last night, the task manager of my windows xp home edition fails to work properly. I can only see the name of the running program now, and CAN NOT see the details of the processes, CPU, memory and user. Who can fix this problem, let me know!!
