There's a quirk, every time my cousin's laptop boots it asks to choose which OS, both are the same options Windows XP Media Center Edition. Only the top one works, BUT the main thing is it asks this EVERY time the computer boots, anyone ever hear of this?

Here's a quick background of what I did...before I get into it any further, there is only one partition, or I should say just one drive, I did not partition it to separate parts, and I only installed the OS once....
Now for the story, brand new dell laptop, as you all know they come pretty loaded with junkware. So we reformatted it, made it into one partitioned hard drive, and did a fresh reinstall of Win XP media center(I don't have much experience with it, actually first time I ever used it, I always stick with pro).

After the reformat and reinstall(something I do quite often, as with anyone dealing with many computers), it now annoying prompts to choose from one of two choices, win xp media center or win xp media center, lol...

Any one have any ideas to get rid of it?

Another side note is that I doubled checked the hard drive under my computers, to no surprise, just one hard drive there and seemingly only one OS.

thanks!! all input welcomed and appreciated!

Right click "my computer" on the desktop
-->choose properties
--->go to "Advanced" tab
---->click on "Settings" under the "Startup and Recovery" section
----->uncheck the boxes under the "system Startup" section
Click OK to close the windows

(you can also edit the Boot.ini file on the C drive to remove the startup option that you do not want to see, but youll have to enable seeing all the files, under Folder Options in Explorer
