Help! Windows Media Player downloads all media files, even internet instant play videos

My Windows Media Player 7 won't play any files instantly.......it waits until the entire file is downloaded and only then plays it........whats the problem here?

Does WMP 6.4 play divx 5.0......etc.....????????

I did check preferences...........its on automatic buffer and everything.............all is normal.

I use WMP 6.4 for every video type except Real Media and Quicktime encoded with the Sorenson codec.
