Hey folks, just want to see if anyone can give me a clue as to what I may have missed on a computer issue.
Scenario : Adware being installed on a Windows 98 SE System with Norton AV 2003 Installed.
Computer has IP address and can ping the internet sites with no problem, but now IE 6 can not reach a web site. Get page not found!
Any thoughts. I am not sure what could really be the problem except maybe the Automatic Detect Settings Checkbox was missed. As you may have guessed the system is not where I am at the moment, but I will have access to it tomorrow morning.
I am just a little baffled at the Norton & Adware Incompatibility, as I run it now on W2k and Win XP. Oh well..
Any suggestions would be appreciated.....
