HELP Win95,win98,2000 intergration woes

Our network has clients with 95,98se and win2k running on them. The server is a win2k server. The problem I am having is that there is intermittent loss of internet access on the non win2k systems. The 95,98 systems will all of a sudden loose and regain internet access at random intervals of time. While the win2k sytems never have a problem accessing the internet. All of the other functions work just fine, (outlook, mas90 etc) does anyone know how to fix this??

Actually there is a a linksys router that goes into a soho firewall. In my opinion the network should be scrapped and redone, but since Im not of charge of those desisions I have to try and make this twisted mess work. After rebooting the exchange server everything came back up. Im not sure what exchange has to to with the internet working, but we cant reboot the exchange server every time the net goes down.
