CREATIVE SOUNBLASTER AUDIGY X-GAMER 24BIT RETAIL

When running Win2k, my computer will show a blue screen for 1/10 of a second then restart. I am not sure what the blue screen says, but I think it may have show something about registry or have something to do with RAM.

Since noticing the problem I have formatted, installed all the most recent drivers and the Audigy (disabled on board sound). Now it occurs more frequently, sometimes as logging onto Windows 2k Pro.

I don't remember the problem when I first had the computer, so that suggests some drivers may be incompatible. Since the sound and video seem to be working fine, it could be the 4 in 1 Via drivers that I installed.

Also I would like to know how to flash the bios in Windows 2k, since there is no dos or boot disk.

Please Help!

Okay,

I disabled auto restart. Now I see the blue screen of death.

First BSOD I get is NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (ntoskrnl.exe)

Restart and get this BSOD with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

The microsoft website http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...Net/prodtechnol/winntas/tips/techrep/bsod.asp
tells me to run CHKDSK for the first error.

No errors on either my newly formatted C: NTFS drive or my old (or backup) D: FAT32 drive.

Now I am trying to find out what the second error is, because I think it has been the cause of most of the crashes. :frown:

Please Help!
