HELP!!! win2k crashed/rebooted during norton install

while installing norton utilities/ghost, win2k dumped and rebooted. (issues with via 4-in-1s) A LOT of files were lost/corrupted. now everything is screwed up. i keep on getting error messages from winmgmt. how can i fix this? i tried installing norton again, but that didn't help. so i uninstalled it. is there any way to roll back the registry? thanks for your help.
 
Hey Tuff...Start up in safe mode.....F8 on booting...You'll see "last known good configuration"....Piece O' cake !!!
Any ques.. Win Help...troubleshooting....safe mode... or "repair disk error"zzz.
 
hehehe... thanks, but it didn't help. the crash screwed things up *that* bad. repairing didn't help either. that should teach me a lesson. the INSTANT that i re-install it i'll make a ghost image just to be safe.
