Title says it all, i needed to reinstall WinXP Pro because some bad drivers would cause it to reboot instantly when it loaded the OS.

It POST fine, but when it goes to load WinXP, it reboots instantly. Even after a format and fresh install. It can't boot to finish the setup process. It just instantly reboots when it tried to load the OS.

I don't know what to do. Should i call up Microsoft? Or is there something i can try. It's the 1st rig in sig.

It sounds like a hardware problem.. I would run a memory testing program (like DocMEM) first, and see if it is failing. then maybe taking out any extra cards you dont need. And then CPU or PS etc..

Since it's doing it while your trying to do a clean install, I doubt it is truely a driver problem. Anytime theres a hardware problem, it can cause all sorts of strange error messages which may not be exactly true.
