Help! Wii B/W Screen - no color

... am I missing something? I've never plugged in a Wii, but why did you put the yellow in the green plug instead of the yellow plug?

edit: somehow I missed the pic.

Uh... red white yellow cables don't go into that TV

You need the component cable for the wii which has red green blue cable. You'd think color coding things would mean people wouldn't do stuff like this, but god damn look at that... you've surprised us all

Crash course on TV signals. The picture is divided into three channels. Red, Blue, and Luminescence. (Yes, there actually is no green colour signal. There's a reason for that but I won't get into it here.)

The green luminescence line only carries picture brightness data. That's why the picture is in black and white.

This is a European TV obviously. They don't have RCA plugs, but rather a SCART connector. You'll need to either buy a Wii SCART cable or a Wii component cable. I recommend the latter as it will allow you to play in glorious 576p. Both are available from Amazon UK for about £20.

This has to be the best troll ever.

I'm not making fun of you if you are serious as we all can't know everything about everything, but if you're joking this is awesome.

Because there is no Yellow plug and it's the only plug that allows me the actual screen (b/w)

Wouldn't do stuff like what? Would you not try other plugs if you don't have the yellow one especially when red and white is working....
It does say "Y" too lol

Actually, it's Samsung T260HD , purchased from Newegg.
It's a LCD monitor w/ built in TV tuner...Probably, that's the reason why it doesn't have composite plugs... Thanks!

😉 I just expected everything to be in the box. didn't know I had to purchase an additional cable to hook it up to a normal LCD Monitor/TV.
