My problem has been solved thanks to help from rbV5.

Help, my computer refuses to create any restore points. Everything is enabled, the amount of harddrive available for restore is
maxed out, there is lots of empty space on the drive (>14 GB) yet when I check, it tells me there are no restore points available.
Furthermore, when I try to create a manual restore point, I get the following message: "System restore is not able to create a
system restore point. Restart your computer and run again" Needless to say, this does nothing and you wind up back were you
.started.
This used to work, my last restore point was back in early December, but that has diappeared as well. The computer is working
normally without any problems or other unusual happenings.
I am running Windows XP Home,
Athlon XP 1600
512 MB Samsung PC2100 memory
Epox 8k5a2 MB
ATI AIW Radeon 7500
ROCKET RAID 133 Raid 1 on 20GB IBM Deskstar 60GXP's

Are you sure you have it turned on? Control Panel, System, System Restore - and make sure you drives are being monitored. You can also check the settings for each drive to make sure they have enough real estate to function. Each Restore Point takes several MB - it is your complete registry and other things at a specific point.

I've had that problem and remember it being something to do with my highpoint RAID drivers. To fix it I had to just disable system restore....reboot...enable system restore....reboot, and now I could create a restore point.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head, I have long suspected it had something to do with the raid setup.
I know everything is enabled and the C drive is being monitored, I have checked and double many times.
