help wi fi network setup

I am having problem setuping a wi fi network. The server is connected to dsl modem through ppp on a ethernet card and an access point is connected on another lan card. the dial up connection is set to sharing through the access point. The network connection says it cannot renew ip address. However we can browse the net butr cannot use the lan. If we assign ip on the machines then we can use the lan but cannot use the internet.

Can someone help
