Whole bunch of devices are sharing 1 IRQ.
Is there any perfomance hit when SCSI card and my RAID card are sharing the same IRQ whereas there are many free IRQs (7,9,10,11)?
I'm trying to spead them around but I can't. Is there anyway to work it out? SCSI HDD is my C drive, and the RAID HDDs are in morroring mode (RAID-1)

Thanks for your help.

Below is the IRQ table:

SiSoftware Sandra

0 : System timer
1 : HP PS2 Keyboard (2K - 3)
5 : 3Com EtherLink 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX)
5 : Adaptec AHA-2940U2 - Ultra2 SCSI
5 : CMD PCI-0649 Ultra DMA IDE Controller
5 : CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device
5 : Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System
5 : NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro
5 : SCSI/RAID Host Controller
5 : U.S. Robotics V92 Fax PCI
5 : VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
5 : VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Controller
6 : Standard floppy disk controller
8 : System CMOS/real time clock
12 : PS/2 Compatible Mouse
13 : Numeric data processor
14 : Primary IDE Channel

ACPI controls IRQ assignments for you. If it isn't causing any problems I wouldn't worry about it too much. It can be a bit of a hassle to disable as well.

well, bcuz the HDD benchmark is too low, I tried to figure out why. I saw that issue and wondered if was there any performance hit. FYI, I read those links long time ago but it didn't answer my question. I tried to set it manually in MB BIOS but it didn't work.
