I want to buy a 250 gts. (strict budget, should not exceed this price range)
Which brand should i opt for?
1GB or 512 MB?
I personally prefer Zotac 250 gts 512 MB.
Please recommend a power supply accordingly.
(I will overclock the card and processor)

We need to know processor type and speed?
What size monitor do you have and resolution do you play at?
What games are you looking to play? (Crysis,Far Cry 2 ect.ect)
What kind of power supply are you using now?
What is your total budget for card and power supply?

Welcome to the forums by the way.

I am assembling a new PC.
Processor: Amd 7750 black edition(2.7 Ghz)
Motherboard:Asus Nvidia 8300 Chipset(bought)
Resolution :Mainly 1024x768.
Budget for Graphic card: The Price of 250 gts here in India cost averagely 200$, so that's my max budget.(The price here will Increase, its about 150$ in US)
Budget for PSU: A good PSU which would meet my needs with protections such as over volting etc. 50$ to 85$.

At this resolution a 512mb gts 250 will play any game at the highest settings.

Any Antec,Enermax,Corsair or other good name brand 450 watt psu will easily power your system.

Look into a Antec earthwatts psu they come in 380,400,500 watts I believe and are fairly cheap

Like this one.

And this card is nice. With a free game Call of Duty WAW

Yea I know but I gave him the links so he could match the products at an India store or website.

Thank you for your Replies "happy medium".
But I still don't get the correct power requirements.
The card manual says that it consumes 146w max and provides with a 8 pin pcie power socket. Doesn't that mean I should opt for 8 pin connector(150w)? I really don't want my card to be low on power.
Please guide me.

Keep in mind your PCI-E slot provides 75 watts already.

Well I am almost set . Now its just the question is I am confused about the graphic card. Should I opt for Msi card or Zotac or some other company. Zotac and Msi both have the same price range.
AND should I go for 512 or 1 GB.
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTS250 N250GTS-2D1G-OC 1GB DDR3 Graphics Card or Zotac 250 Gts. I am not sure
. Which card do you think will be better. cooler maybe. Msi Seems Overclocked and stronger in theory but is it better in real Life?
Hope I am not bothering people too much.

One more thing the image of zotac seems like its two molex to a single 8 pin. and not 6 pin to 8pin.

512 mb gts 250 is fine. Both brands are about equal.
Get the one thats cheaper.

Either way the adapter will work with most psu's.
