HELP! When I right click in IE, it takes forever to pull up the window...

Entity

Normally when I right-click in IE (running IE5.0 right now), the window (properties, etc.) pops right up; for some reason, when I click now, it takes a few seconds, then materializes.

What setting can I change to get it back to normal? I don't know WTF it's doing this.

I don't have much of an answer. When did you last empty the temp. internet files folder and also clean out any uneeded cookies from the cookie folder? Is the windows also slow when you use the keyboard alternative shift+F10? Is the right-click slow only in IE? If you go start>programs>accessories>system tools> and select system information, under the tool menu there should be an entry called Internet explorer repair tool. You could try running it and see if that corrects the problem. I wasn't able to find anything about the problem online.

I had a similar problem, then I did a naked boot with no autostart programs. The problem was cured. Turned out to be Norton Antivirus. Could be my luck, never had any with Symantec Software.
